My first backpacking trip at fifteen changed the course of my life. It gave me friendships I still hold close, taught me what I’m capable of, and sparked my love for the outdoors. I genuinely wouldn’t be where I am today without that experience.

I grew up in New York City and now study Outdoor Education at the University of Utah. Before that, I studied graphic design—something I still care about deeply and continue to explore through freelance projects and personal work. I currently work at Down to Earth, where I get to teach kids creative skills in nature. I’ve also worked part-time at an elementary school, supporting students with learning disabilities.

Over the years, I’ve won five Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, started a clothing company that donated to the Environmental Defense Fund, and collaborated with nonprofits to bring their ideas to life. But some of the most meaningful moments have come from being outside with kids—helping them carve something by hand, teaching them how to follow a trail, or seeing the love of nature spark in their eyes.

My connection to the outdoors has shaped who I am. It’s taught me how to lead, how to listen, and how to keep learning. I’m excited to share those lessons with others and be part of what makes Down to Earth so special.
